"Existence" resides not only in objects themselves, but also in the "space" between them. Space is a space where there seems to be nothing, yet everything exists. In this photo exhibition, photographers from Europe (Italy and the UK) have expressed the formless form of their own "space" through the static form of photography.

We are always standing "between" different worlds.

Simone B. Riva

Born in 1983, this European photographer hails from Lake Como, Italy, and currently lives and works in Tokyo. Inspired by Japanese aesthetics, Eastern philosophy, and the Western spirit of searching for meaning, he creates small, intimate prints that invite quiet contemplation.

His artistic approach lies on the borders between polar opposites: inner world and reality, solitude and connection, East and West. His work explores the poetry of impermanence, existence, and the quiet tension between opposites. He sees photography as a space of resonance rather than description, believing that it emerges from something that cannot be expressed in words alone.

Alex Prior

British photographer. While working as an independent gallerist, planning and running exhibitions alongside artists, he also devotes himself to producing and exhibiting his own work. He continues to photograph primarily in Europe, including the UK and the Netherlands, and in Asia, including Japan, Hong Kong, China, and India. He explores a variety of expressive methods, including using washi paper, locally sourced paper purchased at the locations he photographs, and expired photographic paper from around the world to create his works. In particular, the paper used in this exhibition is handmade paper from Nepal, and each piece has its own unique expression.
